This is a must have - no more slipping or disconnects of dryer vent hose. Easy to install and once you do you are done - for good. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported last year that clothes dryer vent fires were associated with 15,600 fires, which resulted in 20 deaths and 370 injuries. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct. Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive heat buildup, and result in a house fire from your dryer.

I purchased this for a fiber-optic lighting application that required heat venting and occasional maintenance that required removal of the device. This worked perfectly. In conjunction with a good 4" vent hose, this product can be extremely versatile for many heat extraction applications beyond clothes dryers.
